The Ulster Sports Club is a three-story bar and music venue located on the outskirts of the Cathedral Quarter. It was formerly a social club before being acquired by the Beannchor Group (owned by prominent hotelier, Bill Wolsey) in 2018. Beannchor embraced the former social club's retro vibe, transforming it into one of Belfast's most vibrant bars.
A planning application was submitted in 2021 to remove a portion of the roof and install a retractable fabric awning over the new roof opening. The application also included a change of use for a portion of the second floor to include a microbrewery that would operate alongside the existing bar.
