Transport House, a Grade B+ listed building, is located on the corner of High Street, just across from the Albert Clock. It was built in the Modernist International Style for the Amalgamated Transport and General Workers' Union (ATGWU) between 1956 and 1959.
The property is currently unoccupied, however in 2019, Unite the Union revealed plans to renovate it, aiming to bring the building back into use once again.
