Trademarket, located at 14-16 Dublin Road, is a temporary outdoor street-food and retail market built from shipping containers.
In July 2021, a planning application (LA04/2021/1703/F) was submitted for a temporary (for 2 years) outdoor food and retail market.
In May 2022, the planning application was approved by Belfast City Council.
In June 2022, Trademarket officially opened, transforming the site of the former Movie House Cinema with a mix of independent food and retail vendors.
In April 2024, Trademarket announced that it will close its doors on July 31st 2024, due to the redevelopment of the current site for the new headquarters of Kainos, a Belfast based IT firm, and student accommodation for Queen's University Belfast (QUB).
