The Dean

The Dean is a proposed hotel development that will transform an existing three-storey 19th-century building located at 33-44 Bedford Street and 6 Clarence Street into a boutique hotel under the Dean brand, operated by the Press Up Hospitality Group.

In February 2023, a Planning Application Notice (PAN) for this project was submitted, detailing plans for a hotel comprising 100 bedrooms, a two-storey rooftop extension with a rooftop restaurant and terrace, as well as a rooftop pool.

In March 2024, a full planning application (LA04/2024/0483/F) was submitted proposing a conversion from office and restaurant space to a hotel featuring 88 bedrooms. The plan includes a two-story rooftop extension, restaurant and bar amenities, gym facilities, the addition of new dormer windows on the roof, internal and external refurbishments and alterations, as well as all associated site works.
