Riddel's Warehouse is a 19th-century ironmongery warehouse built in 1867 for John Riddel & Co. The warehouse, designed by Thomas Jackson, has remained mostly unchanged since the days when Riddels imported ironmongery from England and Scotland.
The warehouse closed in 1973, due to the difficulty of maintaining a warehouse within the security barricades around the centre during The Troubles. The building sat empty for several years before being purchased by the police, who used it as a security buffer zone for Musgrave Street police station during the Troubles.
Hearth Historic Buildings Trust purchased the warehouse in 2013/14 and have plans to convert it into a co-working and arts facility.
