The Menagerie is a bar and live music venue located at 30 University Street. First established in the late 1990s, it quickly became a key space for alternative music and underground club culture. Owned in its early years by Chris Roddy, the venue hosted a diverse range of local and international acts, from punk and electronic to folk and world fusion. After a period of closure, The Menagerie reopened in February 2025 under new ownership with a refreshed focus on natural and biodynamic wines, while maintaining its commitment to music and nightlife.
