Imperial Buildings, located at 70-74 High Street and 19-21 Skipper Street, is a four-story commercial building, designed by W.J. Gilliland in 1907.
Previously, the ground floor was occupied by Jackson Sports, an outdoor sports and retail shop, which closed its doors in August 2023 after nearly sixty years of operation.
Following the shop's closure, a planning application (LA04/2023/4579/F) was submitted in December 2023 for a change of use at 70 High Street from retail to a coffee shop and bakery.
